These pleasant-sounding devices are not connected to a normal household power line, but to a bell wire with a transformer connected in series (output voltage 8-12 V~). If you simply remove your old bell and replace it with this one, you will not make any mistakes (acoustically or electrically). Otherwise, an electrician can help you. The bell is available with either a shawm bowl or a brighter-sounding flat bowl.
